Ice Climbing
Bridger Range - Two fine climbs, lie on the west side of the range. ( , 328 Kb)

Complete Dirty Little Secrets Article- In March 2005, a historical feature to select routes in southwest Montana appeared in Rock & Ice Magazine (#140, pages 60-64). Routes highlighted include: California Ice, Green Gully, Mummy Cooler, The Matriarch, Unnamed Wall and Winter Dance. ( , 62 Kb)
Rock Climbing
Central Montana Rock - True to form, author Jake Mergenthaler, Randall Green and the rest of the Helena crew have been hard at work makingCentral Montana Rock outdated before the ink was dry. There are at least a half dozen new pitches at Blackleaf as well as a whole new crag above The Alien at Avalanche. ( , 484 Kb)
Elsewhere, Bill Dockins added a rare 5.9 in Hellgate (Baker's Rock) which will certainly become one of the most popular routes around. Check back soon!
Whiskey Gulch - Due to page constraints, the introduction in Alek Tkach's original Whiskey Gulch Bouldering 2003 was edited for space in the recent Butte's Climbing Guide, 3rd Edition.
